Full Character Interview with Charlotte Kinsley

My pal +Iris Hunter was nice enough to host a character interview with Devil Have Mercy's Charlotte Kinsley back in December on her blog (found here!), Paranormal Cravings. Unfortunately, some bits and pieces got lost in the Christmas holiday seasonal rush.

You can read the full thing after the jump. Again, thanks to Iris for providing the interview!

Heretic release day!

Some of you already picked it up two days ago, but the day has finally arrived: Heretic has officially been released!

Although it's the second novel in the series, I want Heretic to be accessible to DHM newcomers. The book is $3.99 from now until December 18th to celebrate launch week, so grabbing it early would be prudent of you, yes?

I'll be hard at work on the next entry, but I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Ideally you would enjoy it far more, but I will take what I can get and adjust my expectations accordingly.

In addition, free-to-play giant robot simulator/arena shooter Hawken enters its open beta phase today, so if blowing up mechs with other mechs tickles your fancy (and why wouldn't it?), that avenue is available to you as well. I had nothing to do with the creation of this game, but it's cool and now you know what it is.

HERETIC could be free, just for you and 99 others

Cross-posting from devilhavemercy.com:

You can win a copy of Heretic by entering at LibraryThing.com. With 100 slots available, what have you got to lose?

Participants from all countries are welcome!

James Eldritch #3 is now available!

This is where a cat gif would usually go, but anyway, James Eldritch Goes to Prison is now available for purchase on Kindle, Smashwords, and soon everywhere else for $0.99.

This is the third book of five, so if you haven't gotten into the series yet... this might not be the best place to start. Bright side: James Eldritch and the Day Something Happened will always be available, and right now it's free on Smashwords.

(#SampleSunday) The Undesirables

So I haven't done a SampleSunday in... I guess ever. Here's part of an unfinished paranormal novel I've been kicking around for months now. I guess it's less of a sample and more like a first chapter. Anyway, check out The Undesirables after the break.

"Heretic" Excerpt

Not to be confused with Hypocrite, Heretic is the second book in the Devil Have Mercy series. While not completely standalone, Heretic should be a safe point of entry for new readers (which is to say readers new to the series, although I'd be flattered and somewhat distressed if you chose to make this your first book).

You can click here for an excerpt over at the DHM site. The urban fantasy novel will launch in paperback and in ebook stores everywhere* on December 12th, so you can read it on your Kindle Fire HD, Google Nexus 7, iPhone 5S, or Nintendo WΓΌ 3D.

I'm also looking into stopping by a few blogs during the month of November, so if you're interested in having me visit and give things away, drop me a line here or via email and we'll work something out!

*May or may not actually be available everywhere

404 Error: James not found

These things happen. Sometimes you start something that just doesn't work, and the best thing to do is take what you've learned, burn the rest, and start over.
(insert cat pun here)
Unfortunately, this is the case with James Eldritch Goes to Prison. JEG2P was planned for an August release, but I'm not particularly pleased with it in its current state. This means the release of the third book in the James Eldritch series will face a delay a I attempt to do it all again, but better.

Please know, Dear Reader, that I am planning some fun things for the final three books in this bite-sized series. I thank you for your patience as I overcome a few creative hurdles. The next James Eldritch tale will be released when it's ready, whenever that may be.

In the meantime, I plan to accelerate the release of Death Eater, a Devil Have Mercy novella that bridges the gap between the first and second book, in time for Heretic's release this December. As always, thank you for your support!
